The three-day Gurudarshan Mela held every year at Giroudpuri Dham in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district will be organized from 24 to 26 February 2023. Today in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, the date of organizing the fair was decided in a high-level meeting organized by the Giroudpuri Fair Organizing Committee under the chairmanship of Jagatguru Guru Gaddinshin Shri Vijay Kumar Guru. On this occasion, Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar, Raj Rajeshwari Kaushal Mata, Rajmahant Gana along with Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal, SP Mr. Deepak Jha and senior officials of the district administration were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Minister Shri Guru Rudrakumar said that lakhs of devotees gather in the fair. It is the responsibility of the district administration to make better arrangements for basic facilities for them. All the departments should work in coordination with each other and play their part in making this big event a success. He instructed the concerned officials to make new Jaitkham in place of the old Jaitkham in place of the old Jaitkham in the temple premises and Guru Ghasidas birthplace. In the meeting, in view of the gathering of lakhs of visitors in the fair, a detailed discussion was held regarding the preparations and the framework for the successful organization of the fair was finalized. Shri Vijay Kumar Guru also kept his views and suggestions in the meeting. Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal, while conducting the proceedings of the meeting, gave detailed information about the arrangements proposed for the fair. Kasdol SDM Mr. Bhupendra Agarwal has been appointed as Mela Officer and Co-Fair Officer, Tundra Tehsildar Chitralekha Chandravanshi to ensure all arrangements for the fair. Deputy Collectors and Joint Collectors will be deployed from the state level to assist them in security arrangements. For this, a letter has been written to the General Administration Department. There will be adequate arrangements for drinking water and waste water for the visitors coming to the fair. Collector Mr. Bansal said that after cleaning the tanks of 30 lakh, 8 lakh and 75 thousand liters capacity installed at the fair site, filling of water has started. Separate water tanks will be arranged in the temple premises, Maharaji, Chatapahar and Panch Kundiya. There will be adequate arrangement of water in the fair for all the three days.
In addition to this, Dal-Bhat centres will be set up at concessional rate for the visitors coming to the fair. There will be a ban on serving food and other material in plastic items in the fair. The use of both metal and wood will be promoted. A committee has been formed for the allotment of shops in the fair site. There will be security arrangements at every nook and corner of the fair venue. During the organization of the fair, there will be no illegal liquor shop business in the radius of 10 kilometres of Giroudpuri Dham. For this, strict instructions have been given to Excise and Police. Sale of paan, gutkha and beedi will also be banned. On this occasion, the Rajmahants and the members of the organizing committee also gave suggestions for the systematic organization of their respective fairs. In addition, SP Mr. Deepak Jha, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Gopal Verma and concerned officers were present.
