Pucca houses and Ujjawala Yojana bring positive changes in the lifestyle of villagers

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is transforming the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh through various Central and State Government schemes. Villagers are witnessing a positive shift with an improved lifestyle through the basic amenities, pucca houses, and LPG gas under Ujjwala Yojana provided to impoverished families through various beneficial schemes.

Joint Secretary to the Government of India and Nodal Officer for the district, Mr. Anupam Mishra, actively participated in a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held in the Ani village under the Baikunthpur development block in the Koriya district of the Surguja division. The camp witnessed a special moment when a 70-year-old woman, through the traditional song ‘Chal Jhoola Jhool…Gonda Ke Phool,’ emphasised the significance of education.

Mr. Mishra engaged in discussions with the beneficiaries present in the camp and congratulated those benefiting from the schemes. He urged them to share their positive experiences with their neighbours. Emphasising the need to reach remote areas, he stressed the importance of spreading information about the schemes, ensuring maximum beneficiaries, and fulfilling the government’s intentions for widespread societal progress.

Banking services reaching the village

Mrs. Kanti Prajapati, a member of the Banking Correspondent (BC) Sakhi, shared her experience with Mr. Anupam Mishra, Joint Secretary, Government of India, that her household’s financial situation has significantly improved with earnings ranging from Rs 15,000 to 20,000. BC Sakhi primarily focuses on delivering banking services to villagers, facilitating various financial transactions, and aiding in account operations. Impressed by their efforts, Mr. Mishra encouraged the women associated with SHGs to progress further. He emphasised the importance of saving and encouraged them to initiate bank accounts to understand the importance of financial stability.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana brought relief to the women of the village

In the Meri Kahani Meri Jubani segment, Mrs. Kajal Dewangan, Sumati Chakradhari, and Rajwanti Bai expressed gratitude to the Modi government for providing gas cylinders through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. They remarked that this initiative has brought relief and wiped away their tears. Farmer Mr. Pradeep Shukla, from Ani village, highlighted the benefits of the Kisan Samman Nidhi. Supporting ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, the women of the Ujala Self Help Group conveyed their commitment through a heartfelt song, ‘Beti hoon, likhoongi, padhungi, mehnaat karungi, Ujala laungi.’

Mrs. Ramnia Singh, from Ani village, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Modi for providing a pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. She expressed relief from the challenges of a kutcha house, including water leakage. Mrs. Bela Bai expressed gratitude to the Modi government for providing treatment for her kidney stone disease through the Ayushman card, describing it as a lifesaver for impoverished families. The Ayushman card enabled her to undergo complete treatment, eliminating financial barriers that would have otherwise hindered her access to healthcare.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps showcase various government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, KCC Card, Soil Testing, Sickle Cell Testing, Shramik Panjiyan Card, and Jan-Dhan Account. Various stalls featuring these schemes are set up in the camps, promoting awareness and accessibility to diverse initiatives for the public’s benefit.
