Huge provisions have been made in the budget for many new schemes, provisions and government works. Some of the new and major key provisions are as follows:-
1. Provision of Rs 6 thousand crores for Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana
- Formation of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club to increase participation of youth and harness youth power for the development of state. A provision of Rs 75 crores have been made for the formation of 11 thousand 664 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs in rural areas and 1 thousand 605 in urban areas.
3. A provision of 600 crores has been made to develop 3 Gauthans as Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park.
- Provision of Rs 5 crores has been made for the establishment of “Seva Gram” in Nava Raipur to cherish the memories of Mahatma Gandhi and to show the path of development based on his ideologies.
5. The annual financial assistance given to beneficiaries under Rajiv Gandhi Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana has been hiked from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 7 thousand from the upcoming year. - The scope of Rajiv Gandhi Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana has been expanded. ‘Manjhi’, ‘Baiga’, ‘Gunia’, ‘Pujari’, ‘Haat Paharya’ and ‘Baja Mohariya’, who worship at the shrines of tribals in the scheduled areas, will also get benefits under the scheme.
7. A provision of Rs 450 crore has been made under “Mor Zameen Mor Makaan” and “Mor Makaan Mor Chinhari” schemes to provide housing to families in urban areas living below the poverty line.
- A provision of Rs 2 crores has been made for the launch of “Chhattisgarh Employment Mission”.
9. A provision of Rs 24 crores has been made for Integrated Pack House in Durg district.
- A provision of Rs 4 crore 53 lakh has been made for the launch of “Mukhyamantri Resham Mission” (Chief Minister’s Silk Mission) for making arrangements for yarn production and processing in the state itself by collection of railly cocoons in Bastar division.
11. Hindi medium schools will be started from this year on the lines of Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools.
- A provision of Rs 50 crores has been made for the construction of a total of 106 buildings for hostel-ashrams running without buildings for students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category.
13. A provision has been made for the establishment of Government College in Jagdalpur of Bastar district, Basin of Balod district, Makdi of Kondagoan district and Government Girls College in Mungeli.
- Provision has been made for opening of new faculty at undergraduate level in 16 government colleges and new faculty at postgraduate level in 23 government colleges.
15. A provision has been made for construction of new building for 18 government colleges without buildings and construction of additional classrooms in 22 colleges and construction of auditorium in Government College, Sitapur, Surguja district.
- Provision of Rs 2 crore 30 lakhs has been made in the budget for the establishment of girls and boys hostels and construction of buildings in Government College, Pakhanjur.
17. A provision of Rs 10 crore 96 lakh and set-up has been made for starting new trade for the students of Higher Secondary School affiliated with 28 industrial training institutions.
- A provision has been made for creation of 45 new posts for setting up 30-bed Community Health Center in Jagargunda of Sukma district and 10-bed NRC in Ahiwara of Durg district and provision for construction of 50-bed civil hospital building in Khairagarh.
19. A provision of Rs 37 crore has been made for purchase of medical equipment in Ambikapur and Kanker Medical Colleges and provision for creation of 150 posts in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in Raipur Medical College.
- A provision of Rs 10 crore 50 lakh has been made for the construction of hostels for graduate students in Raipur Medical College and for third and fourth class accommodation facilities.
21. Provision of Rs 5 crores for the establishment of C-Mart in each urban body area for the sale of product manufactured by women Self-Help Groups.
22. Provision for operation of 60 mobile ambulances and Dai-Didi clinics in 14 municipal corporations under “Mukhyamantri Shehri Slum Swasthya Yojana” (Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme). A provision of 50 crores has been made to implement it in all the Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayats of the state.
23. Provision of Rs 20 crores has been made for the establishment of sewerage treatment plants at Korba, Dantewada, Sakti, Shivrinarayan and Chandrapur.
- Provision of Rs 2 crore 83 lakh for establishment of Mallakhamba Academy in Narayanpur district to enhance the skills of tribal players in this sport.
25. Decision to hike the amount of MLA fund from Rs 2 crores to Rs 4 crores. A provision of Rs 364 crore has been made under the Vidhan Sabha Constituency Development Scheme.
- There is a provision of Rs 300 crores for 1 thousand 705 new works, through which irrigation potential will be developed in 2 lakh 32 thousand hectare area.
27. A total of 659 new construction works proposed. In this, a provision of Rs 365 crores has been made for 502 road works, Rs 103 crores for 134 large and medium bridge works, Rs 3 crores for the construction of 8 new government rest houses, and Rs 8 crore 65 lakhs for survey of 15 railway over bridge works.
- Provision of Rs 22 crores under Zila Panchayat Development Fund Scheme. Rs 4 lakh per annum for each member, Rs 15 lakh for Zila Panchayat president and Rs 10 lakh for vice-president.
29. Provision of Rs. 66 crore in Janpad Panchayat Development Fund Scheme. Rs. 5 lakh for Janpad Panchayat President, Rs. 3 lakh for Vice President and Rs. 2 lakh for each member per annum.
- Provision of Rs 5 crores for the establishment of C-Mart in each urban body for the sale of materials produced by self-help groups.
These are some major and important provisions and apart from these, many such huge and important provisions have been made in the budget, which have been mentioned in the budget speech.
