Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has announced that Sarangarh-Bilaigarh districts will come into existence soon. An OSD will be appointed for this purpose. The Chief Minister was addressing the 76th Annual Convention of Chandranahu (Chandra) Development Convention organized at village Salonikala in Bilaigarh block of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district today.
Addressing the conference, Mr. Baghel announced the approval of Rs.30 lakh for the construction of community building of Chandra Samaj in village Salonikala. At the same time, he announced to provide land for the construction of Community building in Amlidih, Raipur as per the collector guidelines rate. He instructed the departmental officers to conduct departmental tests to increase the height of the Jonk diversion in Arjuni for the expansion of irrigation facility in the area. In the program, the Chief Minister was welcomed by weighing about 100 kilograms of ‘arisa roti’,a famous Chhattisgarhi delicacy made by the women of Chandranahu Samaj.
The Chief Minister said that various schemes are being implemented by the state government to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers of the state. Schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen bhoomiheen krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana have become prominent in creating better conditions for farmers. Swami Atmanand Excellence English Medium Schools have been opened in the state to provide quality education in English medium for children. He further said, We have also increased the seats due to an overwhelming response from the parents who have shown enthusiasm to enroll their children in Swami Atmanand Excellence Schools. New sources of employment and income have started in the state through the Godhan scheme. The rural population which was once unemployed, Now they are making profit by selling cow dung. Similarly, the government is protecting cows through the Gauthan scheme. Vermi compost is being manufactured in Gauthans. Godhan Nyay Yojana is being appreciated all over the country. He said, The work of reviving the traditional activities of the villages is being done by the state government. Everyone’s participation is essential for successful operation of the plans. He also appealed to the farmers for Paradan that they should not burn the stubble but donate it to the Gauthans.
The Chief Minister also said that maximum use of vermi compost should be done for crop cultivation. Presently, the area under cultivation has also increased along with diversified variety of crops. People’s inclination towards farming has increased, the price is being fixed for the purchase of indigenous products. Rural Industrial Parks will be made in two villages of each block. The state government is working expeditiously in the direction of realizing the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi. He also released the Community constitution booklet on this occasion. The conference was presided over by Ramratan Chandra, the Central President of Chandranahu (Chandra) Vikas Mahasamiti. On this occasion, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Mr. Chandradev Rai, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishu Pal Sori, Rajim MLA Mr. Amitesh Shukla, Sarangarh MLA Mrs. North Jangde,Jaijaipur MLA Mr. Keshav Prasad Chandra and all the local public representatives, prominent officials of the Community, Gan Collector Mr. Doman Singh and SP Mr. Deepak Jha were present.
