Chief Minister played ‘Munda Baja’, encouraged the little artist

A three-day National Tribal Literature Festival is being organized in the state’s capital Raipur. This three-day National Tribal Literature Festival which has commenced today, is a confluence of Tribal litterateurs, subject experts, researchers, painters and artists. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was the chief guest. Bastar band performed in presence of guests at the festival’s inauguration. Bastar Band performed with traditional musical instruments of the tribal community, created a mesmerizing atmosphere at the launch event and enthralled the crowd. People were dancing to the mesmerizing melody of the traditional musical instruments. A moment came at the event when the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel could not resist himself, joined the performers on stage and encouraged them by thumping ‘Munda Baja’. The Chief Minister was so overwhelmed with the artist’s performance that he picked up the little artist, Jaya Sodhi and encouraged her. Enjoying the moment, the Tribal Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam and Culture Minister Amarjit Bhagat also started dancing.
It is worth mentioning that Bastar Band has been established by the prominent artist, Mr.Anup Ranjan Pandey. Today ‘Bastar Band’ is recognized internationally for its mesmerizing performance. The band includes artists ranging from four years old to 77 years old. Mr.Anup Ranjan Pandey has also been awarded Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of arts. The artists of Bastar Band are from different tribal communities. Not only they are good at playing traditional instruments but also are masters of making these instruments.
