Announced ‘Mukhyamantri Shramik Siyaan Sahayata Yojna’ for elderly labourers, a one-time aid of Rs.10 thousand
e-rickshaw financial aid increased from Rs.50 thousand to Rs.1 lakh for women
Girls up to 21 years of age will get benefit of ‘Noni Suraksha Yojna’

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel as chief guest attended the state-level ‘Shramik Sammelan’ organized at BTI Ground on the occasion of International Labour Day. Addressing the event he said, “ a historic ‘Labour Day’ has been celebrated this year, I called upon the people to eat bore-baasi and the people supported it so much, even this initiative has been spread abroad as well”. He said,” people were gathering information about bore-baasi and today many people have eaten bore-baasi. We feel proud of Chhattisgarhi cuisine that it received so much fame. Before this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel met the beneficiaries of different schemes of the Labour Department and distributed materials to them. During this, the Chief Minister was also seen playing with the worker’s children, a girl child was also playing with him. On this occasion, a magazine that contains information related to schemes of the Labour Department was released by the Chief Minister and the guests present.
Addressing the event, he congratulates all the labourers on the Labour Day and made new announcements. He has announced a one-time aid of Rs.10 thousand for the elderly labourers under the ‘Shramik Siyan Sahayata Yojana’. He also announced to increase aid amount from Rs.50 thousand to Rs. 1 lakh for self-reliant women for purchasing e-rickshaws. Along with this, he also announced to increase the upper age limit by 3 years, earlier which was 18 years in ‘Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana’. Now the benefit of this scheme has been extended up to 21 years for girls. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has also announced during the launch of Mitan Yojana on May 1 that in the second phase, this scheme will be started in rural areas.
Addressing the event, Labor Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya said that construction work is not possible without workers. He described the workers as the cornerstone of the development of the state. The President of the Chhattisgarh Building Construction Workers Welfare Board, Mr. Sunny Aggarwal said that the State Government has not left any stone unturned to ensure the economic development of workers. He said that important schemes are being run by the state government for the workers to lead a better life. Chairman of Labour Welfare Board Mr. Safi Ahmed said that the economic policy of the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister is playing an important role in eradicating unemployment and providing employment to the people, which has increased the confidence of the poor, labourers and farmers over the government. In the event, the Chief Minister also distributed cheques to the beneficiaries of various schemes including Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana, Nanihal Scholarship Scheme, Meritorious Scholarship Scheme, Bhaguni Prasuti Sahayata Yojna, Mukhyamantri e-rickshaw Scheme.
On this occasion Industries Minister Mr.Kawasi Lakhma, MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Rekh Chand Jain, MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mr.Vikas Upadhyay, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation Mr. Ram Gopal Agrawal, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Devangan, Chairperson of Women’s Commission Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, MLA Mr. Brihaspat Singh, MLA Mrs. Anita Yogendra Sharma, public representatives, officers and employees of various departments and a large number of workers from different districts of the state were present.
