Raipur, 07 May 2022 / On the fourth day of the ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached the Biharpur village of the Bhatgaon constituency. During Jan Chaupal, on the demand of the people and the Parliamentary Secretary, he announced a slew of development work for the villagers of Biharpur and won everyone’s heart.

On the demand of people especially sisters and daughters of Biharpur, the Chief Minister announced ‘Nal Jal Yojana’ worth Rs.24 crore for a cluster of 24 villages to solve the problem of drinking water. Similarly, he assured to conduct an inspection of the Electricity Department for the establishment of a sub-station to overcome the problem of electricity in the area. The Chief Minister approved the establishment of ITI in Biharpur on the demand of Parliamentary Secretary Mr.Parasnath Rajwade. The Chief Minister announced for a Swami Atmanand English Medium School to be open soon in Biharpur, developing Raksganda as a tourist destination, construction of Biharpur main road, Girls Hostel on the demand of the girl students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, up-gradation of Kharpathar High School to Higher Secondary School, the opening of State Bank of India branch and ATM in Biharpur from next year and construction of transit hostel for officers-employees. The villagers welcomed every announcement of the Chief Minister. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya and Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Paras Nath Rajwade were also present on the occasion.

The members of Jai Mahamaya Mahila Self Help Group presented ‘tendu’, ‘Jirphool rice’, ‘sava rice’ and ‘arhar dal’ to the Chief Minister during ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel said that he is making memories with the people of Biharpur, you have given many gifts to me. During the meeting, a lady named Mrs. Chandrakala Jaiswal told that she bought a tractor from the loan she received from the group, and earns Rs.20 to 25 thousand. Congratulating them, the Chief Minister said that now women are also empowering themselves, this is a very good thing. Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel announced an aid of Rs. 4 lakh each to the families of five people affected by the natural calamity in Biharpur.

Laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 2.15 crore in Biharpur

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel laid the foundation stone for development works in Biharpur worth Rs 2.15 crore. He laid the foundation stone for the construction of Avantikapur main road to Sahu Para road worth Rs 38.40 lakh, building construction of a new sub-health center in Mohali worth Rs.28 lakh, culvert at Balamma Ghat between Kailash Nagar to Chhatrang Marg in Surajpur district worth Rs 149.34 lakh.

Chief Minister had lunch at Mr.Bhopal Singh’s house

The Chief Minister had lunch at Mr.Bhopal Singh’s house in Biharpur. ‘Pehta’, ‘tilori’, ‘roti’, ‘rice’, ‘lentils’, ‘bhindi ki Bhujia’, ‘Karela Bhujia’, ‘Lakda chutney’ were served in the meal. The Chief Minister told Bhopal Singh ji that he had tasted Pehta in Sanaval as well. He told Mr.Bhopal Singh that Lakda is called Amari in Central Chhattisgarh. During taking the meal, the Chief Minister asked him about his farming practice. On the request of Mr.Bhopal Singh, the Chief Minister gave instructions to the Tehsildar to give the benefit of tree plantation scheme to Mr.Bhopal Singh and to get bore in his field soon. Mr. Baghel met his family members and asked about their well being and presented a saree to Mrs. Rajkunwar. On the demand of Aarti, the girl child of this family, the Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand School would be opened in Biharpur. On the demand of Mr.Bhopal Singh ji, Adivasi Girls Hostel, Swami Atmanand School and Mini Stadium were approved.

Disciplinary action will be taken against negligent teachers

During the meeting, a youth Narendra Sahu complained about negligence by the government teachers in front of Mr.Baghel. Appreciating Narendra for raising the issue related to the quality of school education, the Chief Minister said that disciplinary action will be taken against the teachers for such negligence in schools. Teachers should discharge their duties honestly.
