Raipur, 18 May 2022 / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made several announcements in the public interest at the meet and greet programme organized today at Chhindgarh in Sukma district. The programme was held in the mango orchard, where the Chief Minister directly interacted with thousands of villagers in his humble and simple style. Apart from taking information from the people about the benefits of government schemes and programmes, the Chief Minister also heard their grievances. “I have come here to meet you all. The state government is working with utmost sensitivity for the development of remote inaccessible forest areas and for the welfare of people. Efforts are being made to bring change in the lives of people living in remote areas through the development of basic facilities like education, health, transportation, electricity, the creation of employment opportunities and self-reliance.

During Jan Chaupal, on people’s demand, Tongpal will be upgraded as a tehsil soon, Talnar and Kikirpal High School will be upgraded to Higher Secondary School, electricity sub-station will be built in Kukanar, approval of high school in Kanjipani, Ganjenar and Gumma. An announcement has been made for a 50-bed hospital in Chhindgarh and also has sanctioned Rs.20 lakh for the renovation of Musariya Mata temple. On this occasion Industries Minister Mr.Kawasi Lakhma, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, District Panchayat President Mr. Harish Lakhma, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, officers of all departments, public representatives and villagers were present. Mr.Baghel distributed the forestland rights recognition certificates to beneficiaries and also congratulate them.

The Chief Minister further said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools have now been started in District Headquarters as well as in Blocks and Tehsils so that children belonging to villages can get free education in English medium too. It is really a pleasant feeling to hear students of Swami Atmanand School talking in English. He said that daughters of the Sukma district are taking a place in merit. Last year a daughter from Dantewada was selected for IAS, now more children are getting selected.

He added that employment opportunities have been created in the villages with the integration of Gauthan and Godhan Nyay Yojana. Villagers are now gradually becoming financially self-sufficient. He said that the villagers will generate electricity in Gauthans and sell it, this is a sign of rapid development in Chhattisgarh. He said that we have given an amount of Rs 12290 crore to the farmers of the state in the last two years under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. This year, the amount of Rs 1700 crores of the first installment of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana will be distributed again to the farmers on May 21.

In the meet and greet programme, the villagers thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for starting the Suraji Gaon Yojana Narva, Garuwa, Ghuruwa, Bari development programme saying that positive changes have been witnessed in the rural areas due to their protection and promotion. On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officers to get the eye treatment of the visually impaired Madiyam Mukka done in Raipur.
