Shri Baghel was weighed against world-famous ‘pedas’ of Hasaud
Chief Minister prayed for the happiness and well-being of the people of the state
Raipur 13 October 2022/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday visited Adishakti Maa Mahamaya Devi Mandir in village Hasaud falling under the Jaijaipur assembly constituency. While offering prayers to the deity, Shri Baghel prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state. According to the locals, the ancient idol of Adishakti Maa Mahamaya Devi is believed to be self-manifested or ‘swayambhu’. In the year 2003, the villagers rebuilt the temple.
Meanwhile, to honor Chief Minister the villagers weighed him against the iconic ‘pedas’ of Hasaud outside the temple premises. Speaking about the specialty of this sweet, the locals said that these ‘pedas’ are made with a special technique using pure milk khoya. People from across the country visit here to purchase Hasaud’s pedas.
