Chief Minister urges officials to give special focus on quality education

Raipur, 12 November 2022/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday chaired a review meeting of district-level officials at Circuit House in Janjgir as a part of his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. Citing the incident of disciplinary action taken against the school principal that happened yesterday, he stressed the need to give special focus on the quality of education. He said that such incidents should not happen in future.
Shri Baghel added saying that the school teachers should reach school on time and not leave school during working hours. He asked the officials concerned to monitor the same and conduct surprise inspections. Action should be taken against the teachers remaining absent without permission.
Suggesting measures to ensure quality education, Chief Minister said that various activities should be conducted in this regard by diving schools in clusters. Regarding Swami Atmanand Schools, he gave directions to finish the recruitment of teachers for the vacant posts at the earliest. Besides, he asked to ensure that the work of infrastructure development and other necessary facilities is completed by the upcoming academic session in the newly opened Swami Atmanand Schools.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the work of repair and improvement of roads has to be done by December, paying special attention to quality in patch repair to make them last longer. Joint efforts should also be made to prevent road accidents. Necessary arrangements should be made at the black spot. He urged the officials to discharge their allocated duties with utmost responsibility ensuring that no citizen leave government offices disappointed. All officers and employees should mandatorily be present in their headquarters.
Shri Baghel asked the officials to start the pending works under Jal Jeevan Mission after taking its approval. He asked the revenue department to free the encroached land approved for building Gauthans. The Rural Industrial Park set up at Gauthan aims at promoting rural entrepreneurship. Under this, work has to be done according to the interest of the locals, availability of raw materials and current market scenario. He suggested that the work of mulberry production can be done here.
He gave instructions that no eligible person should be deprived of the benefits under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Special attention has to be paid to the renovation, maintenance and cleanliness of the Ashram Hostel so that the children living there can get a better environment. The youth involved in the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club should be linked to the public welfare schemes of the state government.
While reviewing paddy procurement, Shri Baghel said that the registration of all millers has to be ensured. He gave instructions to pace up the work of paddy lifting. He asked to ensure that eligible people get the benefit of pension schemes. Instructions were also given to make efforts to boost the sale of medicines in Dhanwantari generic medical stores. He asked aware people of the welfare schemes being run by the state government to ensure last-mile delivery of its benefits.
While reviewing the implementation of Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, he asked the officials concerned to adopt a special targeted approach for severely malnourished children; preparing a weekly diet plan and providing them nutritious food. Regular monitoring of the same should be done to get these children out of the vicious cycle of malnutrition at the earliest. Women, especially those who are pregnant, should be regularly screened for anaemia. Their proper treatment should also be ensured if found anaemic.
Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Shri S. Bharathidasan, Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner Dr Sanjay Alung, IG Bilaspur Shri Ratan Lal Dangi, Collector Shri Taran Prakash Sinha, Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Agrawal along with the district level officers were present in the meeting.
