Raipur, 22 November 2022/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said- the farmers of Surgi have set an example by donating 100 tractors of hay. Farmers have done a good job of participating in the Godhan Nyaya Yojana by donating hay. Chief Minister congratulated the farmers of the village from the stage of Bhent-Mulaqat programme in village Surgi of Rajnandgaon assembly constituency. After his arrival at village Surgi, Chief Minister flagged off 100 tractors full of hay donated by the farmers to Gauthan.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel commenced the Bhent-Mulaqat program by lighting the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel asked people about the benefits of government schemes they have recieved. He said that the farmers who are using vermicompost in their fields and yards should get themselves registered for organic farming, as this would fetch them a good price for their produce. During his interaction with the villagers, Chief Minister informed them about various schemes of the government. Chief Minister said that we have waived off the loans of farmers, implemented Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, issued ration cards for women and introduced Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana for landless laborers. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 7,000 is being provided annually to eligible beneficiaries.

On the demand of villagers and public representatives, Chief Minister made several important announcements for the development of the area. Opening of District Cooperative Bank branch in Surgi, development and electrification of Surgi High School ground, administrative approval for Hardi-Surgi road, renovation of Somani-Navagaon road, irrigation facility and drain construction from Sukha Nala barrage to Aalikhunta, Torankatta’s dependent village Manki, opening of a paddy procurement centre, beautification and construction of pachari at Budhadev pond in Bharegaon, renovation and beautification of the pond at Bhaneshwari temple in Singhola village, construction of two additional rooms in high school at Ranitarai and one additional room at Dhamansara school were announced on the occasion. Chief Minister said that it is our topmost priority not to minimize the losses incurred by farmers. State Government will always stand by the farmers through thick and thin, said Chief Minister.
During the Bhent-Mulaqat programme, Ganga Ram Sahu, a resident of Ranitarai, told Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that he had taken a loan for one acre, which has been entirely waived off. He receives timely payment against paddy procurement. When the Chief Minister asked him what he was doing with the extra money, Ganga Ram said that he planted sugarcane with the profit. Ganga Ram expressed his desire to plant sandalwood and take advantage of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. To which, Chief Minister replied in affirmative. On being asked about the ration card by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Kamleshwari Bai of Surgi told that now she is receiving rice free of cost. There are 4 members in my family and she receives 28 kg of rice. Chief Minister told that Chhattisgarh is the only state where ration is available at such low cost. We are taking every possible step to put money in your pocket, said Mr. Baghel.
Women of Sanskar Sahayata Group earned Rs 3 lakh by selling cow dung
During a discussion with the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Sonia Sahu told that she is selling cow dung every week, the payment comes with the aid under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Parvati of Kotarbhata told that she sells 50 kg cow dung in a week and she has received Rs 8 thousand in her account. The women of Sanskar Sahayata Group told that they have earned Rs 3 lakh. She opened a general store with her share. We want to produce mushroom, told Parvati. Videshi Ram Nishad told that he is putting vermicompost in the fields, he has made seven stitches in the house. Chief Minister said that Vermicompost has multiple benefits. He told that he plants vegetables in 80 decimals and paddy in 4 acres. Chief Minister asked him to get registered for organic farming. Onkar Prasad Baghel, the beneficiary of the Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Scheme, told that the scheme has proven to be a boon for him, he is receiving regular installments. Bachuram told the Chief Minister that he is from Bharregaon and the mobile clinic vehicles regularly come to his village. I am taking medicine from there. It doesn’t cost money, said Bachuram.
Students of Atmanand School answered Chief Minister’s questions in fluent English
Chief Minister asked questions in Chhattisgarhi to the students of Atmanand English Medium School, to which the students replied in English. In response to Chief Minister’s question, Yashwant Janghel told about his school. Yashwant Janghel enthralled the gathering by answering in fluent English. Yashwant said in English that earlier in the school where he studied earlier, he had to pay Rs 20,000 annually. Atmanand School does not cost any money. Likewise, Poonam Sahu replied in English to Chief Minister’s question and thanked him for Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme. Mr. Baghel appreciated the students, their vocabulary and communication skills.
