Webinar organized to give detailed information about the programme to teachers
Raipur, 01 December 2022/ The Chhattisgarh Government has launched ‘Sughhar Padhvaiya’ programme for upskilling children studying in all government primary and middle schools according to their talents. A state level webinar was organized to give information about this programme at the ground level.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel had made announcement regarding this programme on the occasion of Children’s Day. The objective of this scheme is to develop excellent academic skills in children as well as to encourage self-motivated and better performing teachers. Ensuring its quick implementation, the School Education Department has designed the entire programme. The task of developing tools for identification and inspection of competencies for classes I to VIII has been started under the direction of the State Educational Research and Training Council. Samagra Shiksha has collected a list of more than 400 teachers and officers willing to inspect schools.
School Education Principal Secretary Dr. Alok Shukla while giving detailed information about the programme told about its distinct features like promoting teamwork among teachers and explained process of joining all the schools. School Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan urged teachers to make efforts to improve the standard of the children sitting in the last row in the classrooms. He motivated more and more teachers to join this programme and work with dedication to enhance the skills of the children.
Samagra Shiksha Managing Director Shri Narendra Kumar Dugga said that healthy competitions will be organized among all the clusters, development blocks and districts. He urged everyone to cooperate with each other and motivate them to move forward. NIC Senior Technical Director Shri Som Shekhar informed about the process of applying in the portal of School Education Department to join the programme. He informed about the facilities available for teachers in the portal such as on-demand training and availability of reference material. He told that small courses have been prepared for teachers by SCERT.
The queries of the teachers on various issues related to the programme were resolved by the senior officials during the webinar. SCERT Director Shri Rajesh Rana, Education Advisor in State Planning Commission Ms. Mitakshara Kumari, Directorate of Public Instructions Deputy Director Shri Ashutosh Chavre also presented their views in the webinar.
