Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel reached Lahod village of Kasdol assembly constituency under Balodabazar-Bhatapara district on December 22 as a part of his mammoth public interaction drive ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’ across the state. He was accorded a warm welcome by the local public representatives and officials on his arrival at the helipad. He interacted with the public and took feedback about the implementation of the schemes of the state government. He inaugurated and performed Bhoomipujan of 46 development works worth Rs 52.41 lakh in the village Lahod of Balodabazaar-Bhatapara district. This includes the inauguration of 21 works worth Rs 39.31 crore and Bhoomipujan of 25 works worth more than Rs 13 crore. On this occasion, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Parliamentary Secretaries Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, and Chandradev Rai, President of Krishak Kalyan Parishad Mr. Surendra Sharma, many public representatives and villagers were present.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel announced a slew of development work for the people of this area including the construction of a bridge on the Mallin stream in Khatiyapati, construction of Putpura-Ghirghola-Daunajhar road of 3.20 km (along with a bridge and culvert), construction of a 2.55 KM long road between Chirchida and Kasiyara under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Hardi Primary School to be upgraded to a Middle School, construction of a new building for Government High School at Kharri Village, and Devrikala, an amount of Rs. 40 lakh will be provided to Lavan and Lahod (each) for infrastructure development, construction of sports premises in Lavan Nagar Panchayat, Balar Dam in Kasdol to be renamed after former minister Kanhaiya Lal Sharma, divider construction and electrification of Kasdol city’s four-lane road. He also announced to start Damru Lift Irrigation Scheme, the establishment of Power Distribution Center, and Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Lahod.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the Godhan Nyaya Yojana has become a source of income for cow herders. People are now opting for animal husbandry for their livelihood. He further said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount is being paid to the farmers in four installments and improving the economic condition of the farmers. Agriculture has now become a profitable business. The income of the farmers has increased. Gauthans have been constructed in the villages, which are developing as livelihood centers.

During the Jan-Chaupal, a student named Bhesram Patel and other students requested the cancellation of the transfer order of the teacher Mamta Rathor who was being transferred from the school in Paijni. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the Collector for required action in this matter. Krish Verma, a 7th-grade student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, stated that impoverished pupils too have access to free English education while Krish Verma told the Chief Minister that he has designed a 3D printer. Similarly, while introducing herself in English, class 7th student Bhumi Verma stated that, in addition to better studies, other activities for physical and mental growth are held on a regular basis at the school. They also receive 5,000 rupees annually as part of the Mahtari Dular Yojana. Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana beneficiary Mrs. Renu stated that the scheme has made a significant improvement in her health and is being utilized by other women as well, while children are also benefiting from it. While being asked about salt, sugar, rice, gas cylinder, and kerosene, Khamhariya-resident Lileshwari Daheriya said that she is receiving ration, salt, sugar, etc. regularly. Mrityunjay Pandey of Lavan told that he has received the amount of all the installments of paddy procurement. He told that under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, he has sold cow dung worth Rs.1 lakh so far. Java Bai Sarkor from Sarkhor said that she earned profits by selling cow dung. She also said that she is also selling milk alongside cow dung to earn profits. Palari’s farmer Premlal Verma told that he suffered a lot in poultry farming during the COVID pandemic. He has only one acre of land, and now facing a lot of problems. Hearing this, the Chief Minister instructed the Collector to resolve the issue.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel had lunch at the house of a small farmer and laborer Mr. Aghnu Kosle. On this occasion, the family members of Mr.Kosle accorded a traditional welcome to Chief Minister with ‘aarti’ and applying tilak. Mr. Baghel relished the delicious taste of traditional dishes including lal bhaji, palak bhaji, kusum bhaji, hand grinded tomato chutney, navalgol matar and aaloo-bhata-rakhiya badi. He interacted with all the family members post-meal and gave them gifts. He offered prayers at the Jaitkhamb located in front of the house of Mr.Aghnu Kosele in village Lahod and wished for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.
