Raipur, 23 December 2022//Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned Rs 48 crore 76 lakh 45 thousand for the works of seven different irrigation projects in the state. On completion of the works of the schemes, the irrigation facility will be expanded to a 3 thousand 255-hectare area. An amount of Rs 1 crore 91 lakh 33 thousand has been sanctioned for the work of installation of an escape gate and a gate in a related canal in Bhatapara main canal of Tilda development block of Raipur district. Rs 3 crore 87 lakh 96 thousand has been approved for the renovation and upgradation work of Central Water Commission office Shankar Nagar Raipur and Chief Engineer’s office of development block-Dharsinwa.
In addition to this, an amount of Rs 3 crore 94 lakh 11 thousand has been sanctioned for the repair and lining work of Dharmutola reservoir dam of Churia development block of Rajnandgaon district. With the completion of the scheme, an irrigation facility will be available in the 421-hectare area. Rs 3 crore 93 lakh 3 thousand has been sanctioned for the renovation and lining work of Bhandari Bharda reservoir of development block-Churia. With the completion of the scheme, an irrigation facility will be available in the 513-hectare area. Rs 8 crores 92 lakh 40 thousand has been sanctioned for repair, remodeling, and lining work of the Akarjan diversion of Khairagarh development block. With the completion of the scheme, an irrigation facility will be available in 1115 hectare area. Rs 2 crores75 lakh 35 thousand has been sanctioned for the construction work of Gatapar Anicut of development block Dongargarh. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facilities will be available in a 60-hectare area. Rs 23 crore 42 lakh 27 thousand has been approved for the remodeling and lining work of lining and minor canals in Pipariya Reservoir Main Canal Chain No. 0 to 150 of Chhuikhadan development block. With the completion of the scheme, an irrigation facility will be available in 1144 hectare area.
