Raipur, 16 January 2023 / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel participated in the Speak Out Reimagining Chhattisgarh program organized at a private hotel yesterday. Mr. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said during the discussion that for the prosperity of Chhattisgarh, our government is working to increase the income of every class and individual. Under this, many works are being done in education, health, employment, and culture. This is the primary development model of our government.
We aim to increase the income of the people, said Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. As a result, 41 percent of children between the ages of 0 and 5 have become healthy. Farmers, laborers, tribals, and young people are thus provided with a means of income.
The farmers’ loans were waived. It is as a result of this that farmers who had previously left agriculture are now returning to it. Introduced Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in order to purchase paddy at a subsidized price and to provide input subsidies. Whereas paddy was previously purchased for Rs.2640, it is now purchased for Rs.2660. In 2017, there were 15 lakh registered farmers, which has now increased to 24 lakhs. This has also resulted in an increase in land area, which was previously 22 lakh hectares but has now increased to 32 lakh hectares. So far this Kharif season, the state has procured 97 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. Simultaneously, a target of 1.10 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been set for January.
