Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel praised the rich and illustrious history of the Halba-Halbi community, highlighting their devotion to Mother Goddess Danteshwari. He expressed admiration for the Halba-Halbi community’s reverence for the power of the mother figure. Speaking at the 83rd Foundation Day and Pratibha Samman ceremony of the All India Halba-Halbi Community, held at the football ground in Dallirajhara, Balod district, Mr.Baghel acknowledged the community’s ancient and intricate traditions. The event was graced by Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel as the chief guest and was presided over by Dr. Devendra Mahla, the President of the All India Halba-Halbi Community. Mr.Baghel extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of the Halba-Halbi community on the occasion of the 83rd foundation day of the All India Halba-Halbi Community.

During the 83rd foundation day of the All India Halba-Halbi Community, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel made several important announcements. He announced an amount of Rs 1 crore for the construction and renovation of Devgudis in the Daundi and Daundilohara development blocks of the Balod district. Additionally, Mr.Baghel announced that Government College Mangchuwa would be renamed in honour of Shaheed Gend Singh. Responding to the community’s demands, he also committed to providing funds for the construction of a community hall for the Halba community in Nava Raipur after completing the necessary landmarking and purchase procedures.

Furthermore, Mr.Baghel expressed his intention to include the late Mr. Sukhdev Patar, a resident of Kanker district who fought against the British during the freedom struggle, in the list of freedom fighters. He assured that all the required procedures for this recognition are being carried out by the state government very soon. Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the revered freedom fighters, Shaheed Birsa Munda on his death anniversary and Shaheed Gend Singh. He honoured their significant contributions and described them as exemplary sons of Mother India.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel acknowledged their significant presence not only in Chhattisgarh but also in neighbouring states like Maharashtra. He praised the Halba community for its commitment to education and social awareness, with members reaching prominent positions in politics, administration, and various fields through their dedication to education. Mr.Baghel emphasised the simplicity, hard work, and innocence of the entire tribal community, including the Halba community.

The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to uplifting all sections of society, including tribal communities. To facilitate easy access to administrative services, the government has formed six new districts and numerous tehsils, ensuring convenience for common people in commuting to district and tehsil headquarters. Mr.Baghel pointed out that Chhattisgarh stands out as a state where tehsils have been established on such a large scale, benefiting the public. Additionally, the process of obtaining caste certificates has been simplified. Now, children can easily obtain their caste certificates on the basis of their father’s caste certificate.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel highlighted the various public welfare schemes implemented in Chhattisgarh, particularly focused on the interests of farmers and labourers. The government swiftly initiated measures to provide immediate relief to farmers by waiving their loans after the formation of the government in the state. Additionally, Chhattisgarh offers the highest support price and input subsidy for paddy, along with the establishment of new procurement centres to cater to farmers’ demands, resulting in increased paddy cultivation in forest areas like Mohla-Manpur and Bastar. The state government also purchases coarse grains such as Kodo and Kutki at support prices under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana.

Chief Minister Mr.Baghel emphasised the government’s commitment to quality education by establishing excellent schools in the most severely affected Naxalite areas. To generate employment opportunities, large-scale recruitment of youth has been conducted in Bastar Fighters, focusing on tribal and educated unemployed individuals. The state government has also allocated funds for the overall development of the people of these regions, including an increase in the Legislator’s Fund, District Panchayat Funds, Janpad Panchayat Members’ Funds, and Councillor’s Funds. In efforts to conserve and promote tribal traditions, customs, dialects, and culture, the state government established the Bastar Academy of Dance, Art, and Language (BADAL) in Asana village near Jagdalpur. Furthermore, a grand National Tribal Dance Festival was organised in Raipur, providing a platform for tribal artists from states as well as from 26 countries to showcase their talent. Chief Minister Mr.Baghel also honoured outstanding students from the Halba community who have achieved high marks in the grade tenth and grade twelfth board examinations, presenting them with mementoes as a token of recognition and appreciation.

Dr. Charandas Mahant, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, provided comprehensive information about the various public welfare schemes implemented by the state government for the tribal community’s benefit. He emphasised the unique qualities of spontaneity, simplicity, and generosity possessed by the tribals, considering them as precious gifts from God. Dr. Shaileja acknowledged the significant contributions of Shaheed Birsa Munda and Shaheed Gend Singh to the nation and society, expressing pride on behalf of the entire country, state, and society. He commended the efforts of the Halba community’s people in uplifting the community and promoting its progress.

The Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs. Anila Bhediya, extended congratulations and best wishes to all indigenous people on the occasion of the 83rd foundation day of the All India Halba-Halbi Community. She urged the community’s members to actively participate in its development by following the path laid out by the notable personalities and legends of this community who have contributed to its advancement. Dr. Devendra Mahala, the President of the All India Halba-Halbi Community, delivered a welcome speech, providing a detailed overview of the organisation’s structure and the distinguishing characteristics of the Halba-Halbi community.

The program was also addressed by former MLA Mr. Domendra Bhediya. The presence of esteemed guests, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Kunwarsingh Nishad, Sanjari-Balod MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, former Union Minister Kumari Saileja, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Mrs. Tejkunwar Netam, member of Bastar Development Authority Mr. Biresh Thakur, former MLA Mr. Domendra Bhediya, Mr. Bhaiyaram Sinha, Mr. Janak Thakur, and various public representatives, graced the occasion with their presence. District Collector Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, SP Mr. Jitendra Yadav, office bearers of the All India Halba-Halbi Community, various representatives of the Halba community, and a large number of people were present.
