In the Bhent-Mulaqat program held in Koriya, Varsha’s family had put forth their grievances in front of the Chief Minister
On the instructions of Chief Minister, Varsha got successful cochlear implant in AIIMS; now she will learn new words from speech therapy
Varsha and her family met Chief Minister in the assembly premise and expressed gratitude
Raipur, 18 July 2023/ Eight-year-old kid Varsha was hearing impaired by birth, which means she had not heard his mother’s voice ever since she was born. But now, after having undergone a cochlear implant in AIIMs on instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Varsha can now listen. She is elated to listen to her mother’s voice, hear her father address her with affection and all the beautiful sounds around.
Today, Varsha and her family reached Vidhan Sabha premise and they were at a loss of words to thank Chief Minister. Varsha thanked Chief Minister in her sweet voice saying ‘Dhanyawad Kaka’. Chief Minister also responded to her with a lot of affection. Varsha’s cochlear implant was conducted in AIIMS Raipur successfully, as per the instructions of Chief Minister. As a result, Little Varsha can now hear her parents’ voices for the first time in her life.
Chief Minister was overwhelmed to hear Varsha address him as ‘Kaka’, and he showered her with blessings. Expressing gratitude, Varsha’s family presented Chief Minister a portrait of him. Chief Minister assured them that they will be provided every possible support so that Varsha can learn new words and gain linguistic knowledge through speech therapy.
For eight years, Varsha struggled with listening and speaking because of her hearing impairment, and her mother was miserable seeing her daughter struggle. This painful experience might have lasted a lifetime, had the Chief Minister not gone on Bhent Mulaqat visit to Koriya. When Chief Minister came on the Bhent-Mulaqat visit, Varsha’s family got the opportunity to share their grievances with him in person. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel immediately directed the officials of the district administration to make arrangements for Varsha’s surgery. On the instructions of Chief Minister, Varsha’s cochlear implant surgery was arranged and today Varsha can now listen to the sounds around.
Varsha’s father Mr. Mukesh Mishra said that Varsha was admitted to Raipur AIIMS with the help of the administration and her cochlear implant surgery was performed successfully by skilled doctors. Father Mr. Mishra tells that Varsha has now started hearing and she is reacting to the sounds. Now she is also slowly learning to speak. Expressing happiness, Varsha’s parents and relatives said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is empathetic and kind, and today Varsha has got a new life because of his support. On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Chandradev Rai, MLA Mr. Vinay Jaiswal, Mr. Kuldeep Juneja and Mr. Mukesh Mishra, Mrs. Jyoti Mishra and others were present.
