Raipur 02 September 2023// Lok Sabha MP Shri Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday handed out appointment letters to 2000 newly appointed teachers at the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan held at Fair Ground in Nava Raipur.
As a part of the event, MP Shri Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, as a symbolic gesture, handed over appointment letters to 20 candidates on the stage.
It is worth mentioning that this marks the first instance of direct teacher recruitment in the state since the formation of the state. In March 2019, the School Education Department issued a notification for the direct recruitment of 14,580 lecturer and assistant teacher positions. Out of the advertised positions, 10,834 candidates have already been appointed. Currently, a new notification for direct recruitment has been released for 12,489 lecturer, teacher, and assistant teacher positions in the Bastar and Surguja regions. Following the appointment of lecturers, 232 candidates received their appointment letters at the Chief Minister’s residence on August 12, 2023. Similarly, appointment letters are in the process of being issued for 3,449 out of the 5,772 advertised positions. Among these, 2,000 candidates were presented with appointment letters today at the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan. Online counseling for candidates for 6285 Assistant Teacher posts is in progress, and appointment orders will be issued soon.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Shri T.S. Singh Deo, School Education Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Member of Parliament Shri Deepak Baij along with other cabinet ministers, MPs, Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, Chairman of Corporation Board and many people’s representatives were also present on the occasion.
The 20 teachers who were provided appointment letters today include Shri Rajesh Patel, Sushri Neha Bhoi and Sushri Pramila of District Koriya, Sushri Varsha Dewangan, Shri Shashank Sahu, Sushri Abha Ranjan, Sushri Manju Sidar of District Bastar, Sushri Suman, Sushri Kavita Nirmalkar and Sushri Priya of District Kondagaon, Shri Sonu Jaiswal, Shri Aditya Verma of District Surguja, Shri Chandrakant Gajendra, Shri Deepak Kumar Verma of District Manendragarh-Bharatpur-Chirmiri, Shri Yash Kumar Sahu, Sushri Geetika Kutare of District Kanker, Sushri Kunti Sahu of District Dantewada, Shri Kamesh of District Jashpur, Shri Rahul Singh and Sushri Roshni Singh of District Surajpur.
