“Transport Department has made the process of issuing fitness certificates and licenses for vehicles more transparent”: Mr. Akbar

Chhattisgarh’s Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar inaugurated the newly constructed district transport office building in the Bemetara district on Friday. He extended his congratulations to the officials and residents of the district on the new office building. On the occasion of the inauguration, MLA Mr. Ashish Chhabra, Collector Mr. P.S. Alma, Additional SP Mr. Pankaj Patel, various public representatives and officials, were present.
Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, in his brief address, mentioned that the department has made the process of issuing fitness certificates and licenses for vehicles more transparent, aiming to provide better services to the people. He also emphasized the need to increase the number of driving tests and private fitness centers as per requirements. Minister Mr. Akbar shared information about the important initiatives being undertaken by the Transport Department on this occasion. He stated that the Transport Department has improved citizen services with innovative initiatives, making it easier for people to get their work done.
During this event, Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar inspected various rooms of the office building and stressed the importance of maintaining discipline and cleanliness. He also encouraged the officials to plant shade-giving and fruit-bearing plants in the premises.
The new transport office is fully equipped. District Transport Officer Mr. Arvind Bhagat shared that the office building is spread over a total area of 3.8 acres and constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.76 crore. The two-story building includes store room, record room, administrative branches, as well as offices for officials and staff. There are also barracks for security personnel. The office features a conference hall on the ground floor and meeting rooms on the second floor. For learning license, permanent license, bus permit and other work, arrangements have been made to submit the documents from the window opening in the campus.
