Cabinet Meeting

     *Cabinet Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office this evening.  Following important decisions were taken in the meeting:-*

# Cabinet has decided to constitute State Mahua Board in Chhattisgarh to promote the collection, value addition, processing and utilization of Mahua.
It is known that Mahua trees are found in abundance in the state of Chhattisgarh. Mahua flower are not only edible but have medicinal properties as well, while the seeds of Mahua are a good source of healthy fats. Considering the abundance of availability and uses of Mahua in the state, and Mahua being the main source of livelihood for the people living in forest areas, it is necessary to pay special attention towards the production, collection, processing and value addition of Mahua flowers, fruits and seeds. Promoting the processing of Mahua is important as it would further pave the path for establishment of biodiesel or ethanol production units. To attain these objectives, State Mahua Board has been established.

# Cabinet has given instant approval on the announcement of Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel: At the “Nagriy Nikaay Avam Panchayati Raj Mahasammelan” organized in Govindpur, Kanker today, Chief Minister announced restoring of the old pension scheme in place of the contributory pension scheme for the officers and employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies who were appointed on or after January 1, 2004. Following up on Chief Minister’s announcement, Cabinet has approved the restoring of the old pension scheme in place of the contributory pension scheme. About 10 thousand officers and employees of State Power Companies will benefit from this decision.

# The amendments contained in the draft of Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 were approved.

Cabinet has decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for making Gram Panchayat Bhoring, District-Mahasamund a Nagar Panchayat.

# Cabinet has decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for upgrading Nagar Panchayat Ambagarh Chowki to Municipality.

# Cabinet has provided relaxation in the prescribed criteria for making Nagar Panchayat Navagarh, District-Bemetara a Municipal Council.

# Cabinet has taken the decision to declare the dismissal proceedings against the officers and employees involved in the strike of the Health Department as void under the ESMA Act.

# Cabinet has decided to give concession in premium, annual land rent, environment cess and infrastructure cess on the land allotted to Shri Kalyan Seva Ashram, Amarkantak for the construction of Sanskar Study School, Hospital and Cowshed for the welfare of tribal and backward class in Chhattisgarh.

# Cabinet has decided to upgrade 01 post of Joint Director, as approved for deputation in Markfed from the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, to the post of Additional Director.

# Cabinet has decided to create two posts of Additional Director in Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh Raipur.
