To increase the voter turnout, various awareness programs are being organised in the district. A bike rally was organized today from Dharampura to Jora, led by Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, under the Happy Voting Campaign.
Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Baba Sahib Kangle inaugurated the bike rally by releasing balloons with a “Happy Voting” message written on them.
A large number of women participated actively in the bike rally. The Chief Electoral Officer rode a bike to actively engage and encourage voters.
Slogans related to voter awareness were continuously raised throughout the rally. Chief Electoral Officer praised the enthusiasm of people who were eager to join the rally even during festivals and commended Shri Abhinash Mishra, CEO, District Panchayat.
She further stated that she, along with her mother, will cast her vote at the polling centre in the school in Dharmpura first thing on November 17 and she also appealed all citizens to exercise their voting rights.
Many officials were also present on the occasion.
