Raipur district administration has revised the closing time for shops and markets, concluding business operations by 11 pm. Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure chaired a meeting on city law and order and instructed the officials to take appropriate action against the illegal encroachments. SSP Prashant Aggarwal issued directives to the concerned officials to maintain law and order in the city.

Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure has mandated strategic measures to streamline traffic in Raipur City. He instructed the officials to remove stalls, temporary shops, and carts lining the roadsides to alleviate commuter hassles and curb traffic congestion caused by crowds. Dr. Bhure also instructed the officials to remove illicit paan stalls, temporary shops, and kiosks near roads and schools. In a bid to maintain law and order, the police officials have been instructed to crack down on anti-social elements and enforce strict action against law violators, particularly against the illegal bar-snacks (chakna) centres and late-night gatherings at clubs, bars, and parties organised in other places beyond the revised closing time. Dr. Bhure instructed the concerned officials to establish anti-encroachment squads in both municipal corporations, tasked with identifying and dismantling illegal encroachments. Furthermore, he directed ADMs to conduct night patrols alongside police officers, ensuring swift action against those disrupting law and order in the city. The officials from the Raipur district administration, the police department, Raipur Municipal Corporation, and Birgaon Municipal Corporation were present.
