Raipur, March 23, 2025/ In a historic milestone, the remote village of Timenar in Bijapur district has been electrified for the first time in 77 years of independence under the Chief Minister’s Majra-Tola Electrification Scheme. This remarkable achievement signifies the end of Maoist terror and the dawn of development, peace, and prosperity in the region.
Today, light has replaced fear, and hope has replaced despair in Timenar. With 100% electrification of all 53 households, the village is witnessing an unprecedented wave of joy and optimism.

The villagers of Timenar, an extension of Bechapal Gram Panchayat in Bhairamgarh Block, had never seen the glow of electricity for generations. However, with the government’s unwavering commitment to development, essential public welfare initiatives are now reaching these remote areas, integrating them into the mainstream society.
Residents affirm that the arrival of electricity has not only eliminated the atmosphere of fear and insecurity but has also significantly improved their quality of life.

Local residents Mashram, Pandru Kunjam, Mangli and Pramila expressed their happiness, saying:
“For the first time, our village has electricity. We no longer fear the darkness of night, and we are free from the threats of wild animals, snakes, and scorpions. Our children can now study easily, and we finally feel part of the path to development.”
